normal??....wad's tt??..
ok...this entry's inspiration should be credited to last yr's May edition of Discover..with the article entitled "What Do Animals Think?" by Verlyn Klinkenborg..was rereading some of my magazines a few days ago n found this...something i noticed long ago but didn't care to read...
this article is basically an interview of Temple Gradin, plus a lot of the author's comments...Temple Gradin is probably the most popular autistic person in the US.."Autistic peole think the same way as animals."...she had mentioned matter-of-factly...this is not in anyway an insult but a keen observation...according to her, autistic people, like animals, absorb information in its purest form; in it's raw state...which is y even when autistic people desire affection, they feel very uncomfortable when offered as "it was just too overwhlming..like a tidal wave of sensation drowning me"...whereas we...the normal people...dun see much...we see big pictures by filtering out things that we do not wish to see...tt's y we revise all our stuff n we almost never find out wad we dunno....
then it addresses on how humans are highly adaptable, yet we are trapped because of our adaptability...we have made things so tt they resemble wad we call 'normality'..the way we try to understand non-human things is to make them as human as possible...like wondering whether your dog truely loves u...den again, love may be a truely human emotion that animals don't understand..we and them are living in 2 completelty different worlds....what's more, we live in world where Gradin will call 'abstractificated'...living in a world that is defined by the way of our thoughts and ideas..in this way, we do tend to miss things out...in fact a lot of them...IMO, it's probably because of this tt we start to take things for granted...opening ur eyes is never gonna be enough..it's the mind tt requires opening up...we hav lived in an arrogant society tt is merely brought into existance by our mere ideas and thoughts, at the expense of the natural...open ur mind, and tell the difference...
i can't help you fix urself,
